The Rowan Team aims to deliver a professional service to individuals affected by sexual violence. There may be circumstances when the Team has to consult with the Police and / or Social Services:

• Where it is apparent there is an immediate risk to life or serious injury
• Where it is apparent it is suspected the offender is a risk to children or vulnerable adults
• where breach of confidentiality, in terms of a child or young person, is required in accordance with the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland (SBNI) Procedures Manual 2018
• where the law requires disclosure
• where the victim is a vulnerable adult

In these instances, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed
